OPENING TONIGHT at OZ STUDIOS

You are invited to attend A Collection, the visual and audio experience exploring the realms of a collected unconscious. Through examining the fetishization of the natural world, age, and memory this exhibition attempts to uncover the origin of sentiment. By allowing chance and intuition to play a part in this exhibition A Collection brings together the work of over 20 different artists to form an exhibition where art honors origin and life is given to the otherwise lifeless.

Ginette Lapalme’s playful i

llustrations dress the back wall of the gallery, inviting the pleasantries of childhood imagination into the space. Lapalme’s mural is joined by Jonny Wheeldon’s pyramid sculptures, which cast their jewel toned light onto the floors and walls, transforming the gallery space into an environment that the viewer is invited to explore. This exploration welcomes discoveries ranging from soft figurines, to collage, to prints, to sculpted objects, to whimsical linguistics.

Special performances by a selection of spoken word poets and performance artists will be featured at the opening reception that each speak to ideas of consciousness, creation and memory.

Artists will be in attendance.
